Questions From Our Awesome Brides - Can I Still Do A Menu Card If We Are Having A Buffet?

q: My fiance and I are having a buffet at our wedding reception, but we still want to do menu cards. Is that okay?

a: Yes it is. Menu cards aren't just for six-course seated formal wedding dinners at country clubs. They're also great for buffets too. Heck, they're even fun for receptions that include pig pickin's or hot pots of lobsters.

Just make sure you pick a theme that is fun and matches the style of a buffet. The card should include your married name, the date of the reception, and allows wedding party guests to see what treats they are in store for. We did this one layer menu card for a bride who got married at The Matthews House in Cary. Her card was simple and included a monogrammed watermark. We chose simple fonts that matched the elegance of her venue.

And yes, you can put the wedding cake on the menu card. It is after all, what every guest came to see (and eat)~ besides the bride.

Be Sweet!
